Nomadic (AKA Joshua van der Waay) is known for his exotic world-music vibes, phat dancy beats and deep groovy bass lines. After discovering the entrancing power of electronic music, he began producing his own beats and DJ’ing at local festivals. Inspired by travel, ancient cultures and nature, his artistic endeavour flourished during his time in Amsterdam, where he found a new love for traditional instruments from around the globe. Through combining intricate sound-design techniques with ambient field recordings, and contemporary synths with that of ancient traditional instruments, he seeks to find a balance between a digital and organic sound.
